AV Golf Academy Fall Golf Season
Our Fall season will run from October through December, and offer kids the chance to practice, learn, and compete on the course
Fall Season Quick Hits
Season begins on October 25th and runs through December 19th
All kids will be placed on to teams based on their age and skill level
All teams will have practice once a week at Ocotillo Golf Club
All teams will play five matches throughout the season where the players of each team compete against each other for points that determine an end of season champion
All kids that sign up receive personal practice benefits (see below for details)
Our Junior Academy Golf Teams
All our junior golfers are placed on to a golf team that is based on their age, skill level, and future goals

For all golfers 6-8 years old
Team practices on Tuesday afternoons

For all kids 8-10 years old
Team practices on Wednesday afternoons

For kids 10-12 years old
Team practices on Thursday afternoons

For kids 13-16 years old that are beginner to intermediate golfers and play the game more recreationally than competitively
Team practices on Friday afternoons

For kids 12-14 years old that are not in high school yet and are advanced enough to play tournament golf and are looking to play high school golf in the future
Team practices on Saturday mornings

Our most advanced group. For high school kids who play competitive golf and want to play the game at the collegiate level

Golf Matches
Our matches’ length and play format is based on each team’s age range and skill level to help kids learn to have fun while competing.
Play Format:
-8u, 10u, and 12u Rec Teams: Two Person Scramble Format
-16u Rec, 14u, and 18u Advanced Teams: Individual Stroke Play

-8u Rec Teams: 6 hole matches
-10u Rec Teams: 6 and 9 hole matches
-12u, 16u Rec Teams, and 14u Advanced Teams: 9 hole matches
-18u Advanced Teams: 9 and 18 hole matches

All players that sign up for the fall season receive the following benefits:
All day unlimited range balls at Ocotillo Golf Club’s driving range
