AV Golf Academy Fall Golf Season

During our fall season (October through December) we will have 6 club teams, which will all have weekly team practices, and five matches played throughout the season.

Recreation Track Golf Teams

    • For kids 6-8 years old

    • Team practices held on Tuesday afternoons

    • Six hole matches held on:

      • November 7th

      • November 22nd

      • November 29th

      • December 5th

      • December 19th

    • Kids will play as a two person scramble for each match

    • Price: $370

    • For kids 8-10 years old

    • Team practices held on Wednesday afternoons

    • Six and nine hole matches held on:

      • November 7th

      • November 22nd

      • November 29th

      • December 5th

      • December 19th

    • Kids will play as a two person scramble for each match

    • Price: $370

    • For kids 10-12 years old

    • Team practices held on Thursday afternoons

    • Nine hole matches held on:

      • November 7th

      • November 22nd

      • November 29th

      • December 5th

      • December 19th

    • Kids will play as a two person scramble for each match

    • Price: $370

    • For kids 12-16 years old

    • Team practices on Friday afternoons

    • Nine hole matches held on:

      • October 25th

      • November 15th

      • November 22nd

      • December 12th

      • December 19th

    • Kids will play individual stroke play during each match

    • Price: $420

Advanced Track Golf Teams

    • For kids 11-14 years old that are experienced golfers and are currently or looking to play tournament golf

    • Team practices held on Saturday mornings

    • 9 hole matches held on:

      • October 25th

      • November 15th

      • November 22nd

      • December 12th

      • December 19th

    • Kids will play individual stroke play during these matches

    • Price: $470

    • For high school kids that are looking to play golf at the collegiate level

      • Team practices Saturday mornings

      • 9 and 18 hole matches held on:

        • October 25th

        • November 15th

        • November 22nd

        • December 12th

        • December 19th

      • Kids will play individual stroke play during these matches

      • Price: $510

Golf Matches

Our matches change in length and play format based on each team’s age range and skill level to help kids learn to have fun while competing. The matches will be played at Ocotillo Golf Club and Bear Creek Golf Complex

Match Schedule

Play Format:

-8u, 10u, and 12u Rec Teams: Two Person Scramble Format

-16u Rec, 14u, and 18u Advanced Teams: Individual Stroke Play

Match Length:

-8u Rec Teams: 6 hole matches

-10u Rec Teams: 6 and 9 hole matches

-12u, 16u Rec Teams, and 14u Advanced Teams: 9 hole matches

-18u Advanced Teams: 9 and 18 hole matches

Junior Academy Benefits

All Junior Academy members receive the following benefits:

  • All day unlimited range balls at Ocotillo Golf Club’s driving range

  • Unlimited walking rounds of golf after 3 PM at Ocotillo Golf Club*

  • $10 off private lessons with Coach Avery Veitel and Kevin Marugame

    *Walk-Ons only, cart fee for parent driver is extra
